This is the start of the holiday season and I look forward to the visits from the kids and the rest of the family. I am lucky, though, because we are all very close and get along well. But I know that many boomers experience extra stress, anxiety and more aggravation than usual during this time of year, when there is so much to do and not enough time to do it. String together a few stressful days (weeks) and you’re feeling like your patience has been stretched to the limit.

Why did you write this book?
Why is any book written? This book wrote itself: first as a sequence of traumas; second as a look at the changes after the traumas and how I was set up for the rape in the military; third as a counselor so others may see what PTSD looks like from the inside as well as on the outside.
