President Obama gave an inspiring speech to the country after the Tucson, Arizona massacre. He focused on the heroes, the injured who are fighting to recover and the six innocent bystanders who lost their lives.
What struck me most about his speech was that he didn’t point fingers. Since that tragic day, there has been much mud slinging, name-calling and blame. However, President Obama kept saying that we must not ignore the lesson learned and that we, as a nation, must take the high road and display our integrity and forthright.
When tragedies like this happen, we look to leaders to direct us.… CONTINUE READING
